Hull Construction
|
|
The
first job was to complete the design and this is the final
result.
It will be made from fibreglass. the base and construct a wood
outline ready for fibreglassing.

The
Mould is made from MDF, the idea is to pull two hulls from
this wooden mould, using one for the racing and a second as a
backup if that is need I will then make a master mould from
that one.
Start with a level base and build up the sides add the top for
the lip and then sand all the wood, filling every hole and
scratch to create a nice flat surface, the napply a couple of
layers of varnish to give some added protection to enable two
hulls to be pulled from this mould.

This
is a great picture of the completed wooden mould.
